Congratulations to 33 candidates graduating from the Professional Science Master's program this spring and last fall! With the majority getting ready to start a new job, we are excited to have our graduates joining the workforce and representing Rice and our programs. Good luck to all, we hope you will include us in future updates so we can watch you making progress in your career.
Current students are placing in internships and we are looking forward to visiting them during the summer!
Applications have been coming in to our various programs at a steady path and domestic students participated in our annual Preview Days at the end of March. 80% of the attendees accepted our admission offers. Incoming students will be receiving communication and preparation materials for the fall semester. International students should receive their immigration forms by end of the month.
We still have a few openings in some of our program tracks and applications can still be submitted with a late code. There is no application fee for our programs.
Thank you again to our seminar speakers this spring. We welcomed representatives from the EPA, Chevron, Microseismic, Hess Corporation, U.S. Business Council for Sustainable Development, Schlumberger, ENI Petroleum, Apache, Enventure, Texas Heart Institute, Boeing, Southwest Nanotechnologies, Texas Healthcare and Bioscience Institute, Baker Hughes Technology Center, National Space Biomedical Research Institute, Nanolinea, and Jacobs Engineering.

With a focus on Rice undergrad students we are spreading the word about opportunities for Rice students to line their study plans up to create a pathway into our professional master's degree which - with good planning - they could finish
in a 5th
year of studies at Rice, completing their B.S. and their M.S. degrees back-to-back.
We also have seen a higher interest in our dual
PSM/MBA tracks by incoming students who have to apply to both programs at the same time to be able to qualify for this opportunity.
