Spring 2014 Newsletter - Special Corporate Reception Issue
The Annual Corporate Reception was again a successful event with corporate representatives networking with industry colleagues, students and faculty. Students have the opportunity to practice their networking skills and learning more about a wide variety of companies. Many students are still looking for internship opportunities this summer and fall! If your company needs intelligent and hard working interns with science/math and engineering backgrounds, please do not hesitate to contact us!
Preview Day for accepted F14 students is t scheduled for Friday, March 28th! 22 Students will arrive on campus to attend this very popular annual event to learn more about our programs, meet our faculty and discover the beautiful campus of Rice University.
In May, we are also expecting 18 students to graduate and heading out with their new degrees into industry and business. Many have secured employment through contacts they made during their internships. Congratulations to all!
In addition to our spring tour to the Baker Hughes Center for Technology Innovation, we have another facility trip planned to Lonza Lifesciences in Houston to learn more about the company and the work they are doing!

With a focus on Rice undergrad students we are spreading the word about opportunities for Rice students to line their study plans up to create a pathway into our professional master's degree which - with good planning - they could finish
in a 5th
year of studies at Rice, completing their B.S. and their M.S. degrees back-to-back.
We also have seen a higher interest in our dual
PSM/MBA tracks by incoming students who have to apply to both programs at the same time to be able to qualify for this opportunity.
NOTE TO COMPANIES AND ORGANIZATIONS: If you need intelligent and hard-working interns for your projects, please contact us!
